Burnham-On-Sea’s first farmers market of 2016 comes to the town’s High Street this Friday (January 29th).

Over a dozen stalls will be set-up selling local produce including fruit, local meat, vegetables, cakes, cheese, pies, bakery items and milk from 9am-1pm.

The dates of Burnham’s farmers markets for the rest of this year have also been announced.

They will be held on 29th January 2016, 26th February 2016, 25th March 2016, 29th April 2016, 27th May 2016, 24th June 2016, 29th July 2016, 26th August 2016, 30th September 2016, 28th October 2016, 25th November 2016 and 23rd December 2016.

This Friday’s line up includes:

  • Country Markets – a lovely range of preserves, honey and home baked cakes from local makers
  • G M Country Sports – smoked game and fish along with fresh game
  • Humble Pie – pies packed full of flavour perfect for the cold weather
  • Old Castle Farm Pork – sausages, sausage meat and pork joints from outdoor reared pigs
  • Moorland Farm.- succulent Aberdeen Angus beef
  • Nutts For… – scotch eggs in a variety of tasty flavours
  • Portbridge Farm- crisp autumnal vegetables from the Chew Valley
  • Times Past Dairy – award winning cheeses
  • Taylors Bakers – freshly baked bread from Bruton
