A new crafts and gift shop has opened in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

‘Flutter By’ was opened on Saturday (September 8th) at 48 Oxford Street on the corner with Cross Street.

Owned by Yvonne and Darren Gill, pictured above, the shop sells a wide range of quality gifts for all budgets.

Speaking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Yvonne said: “Many of the items we sell are locally made, from wooden gifts ranging from wooden pens to bowls, to hand made jewellery, watches.”

“We also have some unique items – wine holders, guitar stands, bath bombs, clocks, cushions and hand bags.”

The new store is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9-5; Wednesdays 9-1 and Saturdays 9-4.

Yvonne adds: “I’ve always been in retail and love working with people and crafts. We’d been looking for a vacant premises in Burnham and I was really pleased when this one became available.”

“It has plenty of passing traffic with good car parking facilities very close by. We had plenty of interest on our opening day and lots of positive feedback.”

She added that the store has space available in several of its cabinets to sell locally-made crafts and is keen to hear from local crafters.
