Ten hours of non-stop music began at 1pm and continued until 11pm in Chaplins, the Royal Clarence, The Railway, S&D, The Ritz, The Old Pier, Dunstan House and The Victoria.

Along with music, there was also a craft fair in the town centre plus workshops and childrens activities at the Baptist Church plus dance performances outside.

Big crowds flocked to the town’s pubs during Saturday to watch many of the UK’s top folk acts in action.

On Sunday, the annual Folk In The Park will be held in Burnham’s Manor Gardens from 12pm-6pm, featuring entertainment from Tiger Feet Appalachian Cloggers and live music from Dave Chave, Coracle, Fallen Apples, The Roots Union, Hobo Jones and The Junkyard Dogs. Entry will be free.

Folkfest Chairman Graham Cook told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The line-up of acts is definitely the best and the most diverse we have ever had, bringing everyone a broader Folkfest experience than in previous years.”

Over 250 people also crowded into The Princess on Friday night to watch Show Of Hands perform a sell-out performance as the fifth annual Folkfest began.
