Free guided moth and bat walk at Apex Park in Highbridge to be led by ecologist

-

A free guided Moth and Bat walk around Apex Park in Highbridge is to be held on Monday, 13th May at 9pm.

The walk around the Green Flag award-winning park, which is managed by Sedgemoor District Council, will look at the wonderful range of nocturnal wildlife throughout the park, particularly bats and moths.

Pete Grainger, Sedgemoor’s Ecologist, will guide walkers around Apex Park, pointing out the wildlife to be found.

“The walk will take place over mostly level ground but please wear suitable footwear and warm clothing,” says Pete.

“We will meet at the Information Centre (near the toilet block) in the main Apex Park car park which is just off Marine Drive. Visitor parking is free in this car park but we do encourage walking or cycling to the park. Supervised children are also welcome.”

Numerous events are held in Apex Park each year. To find out more about future events please check the event listings displayed in notice boards in the park, email parks@sedgemoor.gov.uk or see www.sedgemoor.gov.uk.
