The four candidates standing in next week’s General Election to become Burnham-On-Sea’s next MP are to take part in a hustings in the town tonight (Wednesday).

Conservative James Heappey, Liberal Democrat Tessa Munt, Labour’s Andy Merryfield and the Christian Peoples Alliance’s Lorna Corke will all be answering questions from voters.

The event will be held at Burnham’s Baptist Church, starting at 7.30pm, when all will be welcome to attend.

The evening is being organised jointly in conjunction with Burnham-On-Sea.com and on behalf of the churches in the area for the community. It will be chaired by local resident Alex Turco.

In order to ensure that as wide a range of issues as possible can be discussed, residents are asked to submit questions before the meeting.

Questions can be emailed to boshustings@gmail.com before 7pm today (May 31st) or be handed in before 7pm at the Baptist Church on the evening. A random selection will be chosen, but please note that not all questions may be used if time does not allow.

Residents across the Wells constituency – which includes the Burnham-On-Sea area – will be voting in the General Election on Thursday, June 8th.
