Highbridge gym club receives £1,000 boost from community fund

-

A gymnastics group in Highbridge has received almost £1,000 in grants from a community fund to help finance new equipment for toddlers.

The Monarchs received £996 from the Community First Highbridge Fund and they are using the cash to buy a ball pit for their toddlers as well as a balance beam for pre-school children.

Monarchs spokeswoman Sue Merrett told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Community First Highbridge Fund for the grant that we have now received.”

“The little ones got so much pleasure from using it and it will help them to socialise with other little ones of similar ages. The equipment will be of benefit to a wide number of people in the community.”

Community First Highbridge Fund has almost £34,000 of funding to be handed out to community groups in the town as part of a community initiative launched last year, as we featured here.
