Burnham-On-Sea firefighters tackled a big hay blaze near Bridgwater in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 13th).
Crews from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were called out late on Friday evening to Bell Lane in Cossington where a large amount of hay was alight.
“Three fire appliances from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea, along with a water carrier from Bridgwater, were mobilised,” said a spokesman.
“Crews extinguished the blaze using two hose reel jets. The farmer also assisted crews with a telehandler to move the hay to open ground.”
The incident was fully brought under control in the early hours of Saturday morning.
