Local election results awaited after quiet day of voting in Burnham and Highbridge

-

The results of yesterday’s Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge local elections are set to be announced later today (Friday) after voters went to the polls across the area.

Many polling stations in the two towns were quieter than for previous local elections as voters picked their choices for district and town councillors for the next four years.

The District Council results are scheduled to be announced later this morning, with the count starting at 10am, while the Town Council results are due to be announced on Friday afternoon.

We’ll have the full results on Burnham-On-Sea.com – keep checking our home page for updates.
