New owners have big plans for restaurant in central Brean

The new managers of a popular restaurant and pub in the centre of Brean, near Burnham, say they have big plans to grow the business.

The new owners of Flaming Jaes Grill House on Coast Road have pledged to overhaul the pub in the next few months.

Landlady Carol Doble, 52, and her partner Bill Fawdrey, 42, pictured, moved to Brean from a pub in Melksham in Wiltshire at the start of October.

They say they are already planning changes to “further improve what is already a great place to eat and drink.”

These include opening a skittle alley at the premises, introducing more games for families and children, and extending the menu. A new chef has also been appointed in the past week. “We have lots of plans; we’re here for the long run,” said Bill.
