Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to Highbridge on Sunday evening (July 23rd) after reports of a kitchen blaze at a property.
Two fire engines from Burnham-On-Sea were called out at 5.53pm to Foster Court, Highbridge.
“On arrival the crews confirmed that the fire had been extinguished by a member of public using a dry powder extinguisher,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“It was confined to the oven within the kitchen. Crews removed the oven to outside and ventilated the property.”
