£3,678 raised at Brean ladies night for Somerset Breast Cancer Now

-

A total of £3,678 was raised for a breast cancer support charity when 220 people attended a ladies night in Brean on Friday evening (October 12th).

Breast Cancer Now held its eighth annual ladies night at Brean Leisure Park, where the adults-only evening included male performers, music, a charity raffle and disco.

Organiser Holly Macbeth said: “Ladies you have done us proud yet again! Somerset Breast Cancer Now’s Ladies Night 2018 has raised a staggering £3,678.64, smashing last year’s £3,200! Every year you amaze me with your generosity on the night and you did it again.”

“This brings us to nearly £19,000 raised since we started these nights in 2011 which is just epic.”

“We would not be able to put on these nights without huge support from the following people Ali Evely and all the team at Brean Leisure Park – Chunkie Russell & his DJ Lee, our fabulous boys Zack, Wayne and Marshall!”

“Thanks too to Mary Golds who had us all on our feet dancing and laughing throughout the night, Jak Howard who came and took photos on the night, and Lucinda with her glitter art who made you all sparkle and to all who kindly donated prizes for our huge raffle.”

“Lastly, thanks go to Lorraine amd Fay who sold us out of raffle tickets yet again and kept me sane during the day, and to my beautiful Breast Cancer Now girls Becky, Tori and Victoria who work so very hard to sell the tickets, spread the word every year and are there setting up the venue to make it bigger and better each year.”

“It’s fair to say we are all thrilled and over whelmed and as long as you want us too we will be back again next year!”
