Burnham-On-Sea Lions have this week treated a group of young carers from across Somerset to a day of fun at Brean Leisure Park.
The Lions aid on a special day of activities for the youngsters, aged between 9 and 18, from the Somerset Young Carers Project.
Andrew Bryant from Burnham Lions Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Young carers are a neglected part of our population. They look after siblings and parents, often without any proper recognition.”
“That’s why we decided to organise this fun day to give them a change of scene away from their dependents.”
