Local holiday parks company considers expansion into new areas

-

A local holiday park company is considering expanding into new areas after growing its financial results to new heights.

John Fowler Holdings has announced this week that in the year to 31 October 2018, it increased sales by 4 per cent, up to £22.3m with pre-tax profit of £2.09m.

During the year, the company also completed the final phase of two lodge developments.

The company currently operates 11 sites in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Managing director John Martyn Fowler said: “We have recently been going through a process of restructuring, but very much remain a family business.”

“Whilst we have been radically improving our product and investing heavily in new types of accommodation, we have had another successful year with pre-tax profits rising to £2.3m on a turnover up 4 per cent to £22.3m

“Over the past year we completed the final phase of new lodge developments at both St Ives and Burnham-On-Sea.”

“Plans for the medium term are to expand our business into a number of new geographical areas, but until such opportunities arise we shall continue to explore further opportunities for growth within our existing parks.”
