School’s guinea pig welcomed to Parliament by Burnham-On-Sea’s MP!

-

When Burnham-On-Sea’s MP Tessa Munt invited the children of Lympsham School to the House of Commons she didn’t expect to be welcoming their Guinea Pig mascot, Buster, on the visit too!

Fortunately, the parliamentary authorities were quite happy to allow the little fella through the security gates once they realised he wouldn’t run around the corridors.

Tessa told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I love welcoming school children to Parliament. Many local school groups visit me in the House of Commons and I hope many more will take up the opportunity.”

“As to Buster, he was very well behaved. In fact I’m pretty sure he slept through the whole visit – unlike the children who asked a lot of excellent questions!”
