A group of three runners from Burnham-On-Sea, Highbridge and Bridgwater are hoping to thousands of pounds for charity by completing 7 marathons in 7 days around Somerset.

The trio – Scott Woodberry of Burnham, Matthew Axe of Highbridge and Tim Scarrott of Bridgwater – are running in aid of three charities: Petal – The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust which supports cancer sufferers, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, and the Heart Foundation.

Scott has been heavily involved in charity work over the past six years on behalf of Petal that he and his brother and sister set up in memory of their mum, Christine Woodberry.

Two friends that he met whilst completing the Five-Peaks Challenge in 2013 in aid of Petal were keen to take part in another challenge and this was how this team was formed.

Matthew and Tim both have nominated their own charities of choice whom they will be running for.
