BBC presenter switches on Burnham couple’s 20,000 light display

-

A BBC radio presenter was the guest of honour to help switch on a Burnham-On-Sea couple’s display of 20,000 Christmas lights on Saturday night (December 5th).

Mike Perrin and wife Denise of Wilde Close have decorated their home to raise funds for St Margaret’s Hospice every year for the past nine years, raising over £5,000 in the process.

Mike’s impressive display of illuminations, which covers the whole of his garden and the exterior of his house, was switched on by BBC Somerset presenter Emma Britton in front of a crowd of 150 onlookers and neighbours.

Mike told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We both love Christmas and putting on a show for the community to enjoy. It’s wonderful to raise a few smiles and funds for a special cause.”

The couple’s lights will be illuminated every night throughout the festive period up to January 6th.
