A Highbridge church is holding a live music marathon this weekend to raise funds.

St John’s Church is holding the day-long event through the day on Saturday (June 16th) with members of the public welcome to drop in.

Rev Sharon Crossman from St John’s Church told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Over hundred local singers and musicians will be taking part, with choirs, bands, rock, folk, organists and soloists.”

“The event will be an 18-hour and 57-minutes long live music marathon, starting at 04:03am and finishing at 11pm.”

“It’s that long because St John’s was consecrated in the year of 1857 to tie in nicely with out fundraising.”

Performers include the Coastline Singers, Rock Choir, Drop The Mic, King Alfred Band and the Ukulele Group. There will be food throughout the day
