story time coffee corner

A new series of story time sessions has launched at Burnham-On-Sea’s Coffee Corner cafe.

The sessions, organised by Shelley’s Bookshop and Usbourne Books, runs 9.30am to 10.30am every fortnight on Mondays.

Organiser Shelley Patterson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s free of charge for children aged from 0 up to school age, although older children are welcome during the holidays. Childminders are also welcome.”

“The session consists of a story time followed by a craft activity. At the latest session we focused on Jack and the Beanstalk and planted our own beans, making a beanstalk and colouring a castle.”

There are around 7 or 8 children who are regular and for children who are too young to join in with the activities a basket full of ‘touchy feely’ books or baby books from Usborne are provided for them to explore.
