Nominate Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Police for a ‘Be Proud Award’

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents have less than four weeks left to nominate their local policing heroes for a ‘Be Proud Award’.

The Be Proud Awards recognise and reward the dedicated officers, staff and volunteers within Avon and Somerset Constabulary for their hard work in ensuring communities are safe.

To make sure a Burnham-On-Sea or Highbridge neighbourhood officer, response officer, special constable, police staff member, investigator, volunteer or policing team are in with a chance of picking up an award at the ceremony in June, visit www.beproudawards.com and make a nomination before 27th January 2019.

Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens said: “It’s important we take the time to acknowledge the outstanding work of individual members and teams within the Constabulary who go the extra mile to ensure communities within Avon and Somerset are safe.”

“Many local people have already submitted nominations for their policing heroes and it’s always exciting to hear examples of extraordinary work of officers, staff and volunteers who have supported your local community. It really means a lot to those you put forward, so please do keep sending us your nominations.”

The closing date for nominations is January 27th, 2019. After this date, an independent panel will select winners across the policing areas and an awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday June 12th 2019 at Cadbury House Hotel, where an overall winner for each category will be announced.
