Highbridge held a special event to turn on its town centre Christmas lights on Saturday (November 16th).

Churchfield School Choir performed songs and carols in the porch of the community centre, watched by a large number of spectators and families.

Mayor Cllr Andy Brewer then led the countdown to the illumination of the festive lights along Market Street and the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree.

A popular Christmas Craft and Gift Fair was also held in the Community Hall which proved a hit with visitors.

The Mayor thanked Highbridge Chamber of Trade for its work in ensuring the display is again a success.

Burnham-On-Sea’s Christmas lights will be switched on this coming Saturday, November 23rd, as previewed here.
