Burnham Police make appeal after attempted robbery at Apex Leisure Park

Burnham-On-Sea Police have appealed for information after an attempted robbery at Apex Leisure Park, pictured above.

At around 5pm on Monday December 5th a 17-year-old boy was riding his bicycle on the Apex Park footpath when he was approached by an unknown man.

The man shouted a threat at the victim and demanded he hand over his bicycle to him.

The offender grabbed the victim’s arm and tried to push and pull the bicycle away, but the 17-year-old managed to fight off the attacker before riding away and raising the alarm.

The offender is described as an Asian man, aged 35 to 40 years, 5ft 6ins tall with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a black skull cap and dark hooded top.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to help police enquiries.
