Early morning traffic on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea was held up on Friday (June 9th) after a two-car accident near Sedgemoor Services.

The accident happened on the northbound carriageway between the junction 22 slipway (pictured) and the service station.

A police spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Two cars crashed into the central reservation just before Sedgemoor Services at 5.50am.”

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene, but fortunately there were no serious injuries. The scene was fully cleared at around 8.30am.
