Burnham-On-Sea police in bid to halt anti-social driving on seafront

-

Police have this week begun a new crackdown against speeding and anti-social driving along Burnham-On-Sea seafront.

Officers are carrying out extra patrols along The Esplanade following renewed complaints from residents about problems with speeding vehicles and late night noise.

Sgt Ian Kennett from Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A Section 59 warning notice has been issued to the driver of one car this week that was seen being driven inconsiderately along the seafront near the Morrisons car park.”

“We are targeting this area after feedback from the community about problems with anti-social driving in that part of the town.”

Last year, Burnham-On-Sea.com published video footage here showing the extent of the problems in the seafront car park.
