Over £700 raised for local charities at Burnham ‘Pop and Chips’ event

-

Over £700 was raised for local charities when Burnham-On-Sea Moose Lodge held a sell-out ‘Pop and Chips’ event in the town’s Princess Theatre on Saturday night (April 6th).

The enthusiastic audience filled the main hall to full capacity as they danced round the tables to a highly-charged performance from Boogie Avenue.

Mid-evening, Moose volunteers served sausage and chips to the tables, while other volunteers served from the fully licensed bar.

Organiser Terry Cornelius told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I believe we raised over £700, to be shared between Gateway club, Brainwave and Moose charitable causes.”

“The Battered Friar in Burnham’s Oxford Street delivered the 120 portions of sausage and chips on time and piping hot – a fantastic achievement.”
