Portakabin’s new £3million Highbridge centre opens

-

Portable buildings firm Portakabin has invested £3m into Highbridge by opening its largest and most sustainable hire and visitor centre to date.

The firm says the development on the Isleport Business Park, which spans around five acres, accommodates a modern operational and production centre.

Robert Snook, Director and General Manager of Portakabin Hire, told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week: “This expansion will enable us to service the needs of local businesses more effectively and the requirements of major projects such as the proposed nuclear power station development at Hinkley Point.”

“The new hire centre will allow us to increase the availability of buildings from stock to customers in the South West and for our visitors to see and experience our full range of buildings at first hand.”

“We have ambitious plans to grow the business and to invest locally, and the team we have in place, together with the new facilities, are central to that. We are also pleased to be supporting and contributing to such a strong regional economy.”

The firm says the new development is its most sustainable centre in the UK. Its construction was designed to minimise any impact on the environment.
