Urgent action sought over pot holes in the Burnham-On-Sea area

-

Residents in the Burnham-On-Sea area have called for urgent action from Somerset County Council to repair pot holes along local roads.

Recent heavy rain and icy weather has damaged the surface of many local roads, including Brean’s South Road, pictured here.

Brean Parish Council Chairman Jon Harris told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The pot holes are a concern on our local roads – they can cause damage to vehicles. We have written to the County Council asking for repairs to be carried out as quickly as possible.”

Nearly 3,500 potholes have been reported to the County Council across the whole of Somerset since December, which represents a 40 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
