87 homes in Highbridge were without electricity on Monday evening (November 20th) following a power cut.

Western Power Distribution apologised for the inconvenience after the outage, which was first reported just after 6.10pm in the area south of the River Brue.

Postcodes affacted were TA9 3DB, TA9 3DE, TA9 3DF, TA9 3DQ, TA9 3DT and TA9 3DX – with the area affected shown below.

A Western Power spokesperson said the outage had been casued by “a fault on the underground network.”

Many of the properties did not have power restored until the early hours of this morning.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused customers,” added the spokesperson.
