Regional arts group Seed is holding a free creative arts pop up event in Highbridge on Tuesday (October 26th) during the October half-term holiday.

With activities ranging from circus skills and creative writing to badge making and an open mic session, there is something for everyone at Create the Future.

The ‘Create the Future’ events will be taking place in Highbridge, Bridgwater, Cossington and Cheddar from Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th October.

They are offering the opportunity to get involved with a whole host of creative activities suitable for all ages. With performances and displays going on throughout the events, there will be a real ‘pop up mini-festival’ vibe.

Scott O’Hara, Seed’s director, says: “We want to create more activities and for them to be what local people actually want to do. So Create the Future will also be an open space for anyone to share their thoughts about the creative activities and opportunities in the area.”

“Please do come along and talk to us about how we can help to make your community more creative.”

He adds that information gathered at these events will lead directly to commissioning artists and groups to put on future activities and events throughout Sedgemoor by Seed.

Create the Future events will take place on Tuesday 26th October at Highbridge Community Hall from 1.30pm – 3.30pm, then Wednesday 27th October at Victoria Park Community Centre in Bridgwater from 1.30pm -3.30pm; Thursday 28th October at Cossington Village Hall from 1.30pm – 3.30pm; and Friday 29th October at Cheddar Village Hall from 1pm – 3pm. There is no need to book, just turn up!
