Harry Potter 7 comes to Burnham-On-Sea’s Ritz Cinema

-

Burnham-On-Sea film enthusiast Molly Harding, who was recently nominated for the national award ‘Young Film Critic of the Year’, reviews the latest crop of films showing at Burnham’s Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street this week…

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 12A

The ultimate wizarding battle between good and evil is almost nigh! The penultimate Potter follows Harry and friends as they battle to track down their magical manifesto of horcruxes and destroy he-who-must-not-be-named once and for all.

As Potter and pals fight for what’s right, the audience is left on the edge of their seats, reveling in the tension and excitement of Harry’s magical endeavors. David Yates shines new light on this film compared to the dreary and disappointing last movie. The cinematography sees a vast improvement as the effects are much more enchanting and pleasing on the eye.

Although not entirely true to J.K. Rowling’s creation, the film works as it is essentially about half a book. Long and dark in places, the plot is a jumble of the book which comes together to create a great tale.

A sprinkling of humor and chemistry helps distract from the bleak, morbid undertones and insures the film isn’t all doom and gloom. Harry Potter 7 will leave your muggle selves fully satisfied and waiting in anticipation for the all important wand-waggling finale next July.
