A man has been arrested by Police after a person was robbed of cash outside Berrow Post Office on Monday morning (June 4th).

Police were called to the post office in Berrow Road, as pictured here, when the man had a quantity of cash stolen following a visit to the premises.

Eyewitnesses said a car was pursued by Police along Berrow Road towards Burnham-On-Sea after the incident.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Police spokesman Peter Trueman confirmed: “A man aged 30 has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and the theft of a motor vehicle.”

“The victim, who was a man, was robbed of a quantity of cash outside Berrow Post Office at around 11.45am.”
