Burnham-On-Sea residents are being urged to be extra vigilant following an apparent robbery at a town centre property last night (Tuesday).
A homeowner reported that an intruder had entered a house in Jubilee Street, just off Abingdon Street, through a back door mid-evening and taken money.
The resident, who was inside at the time with children, said she’d been left “shaken” but otherwise unhurt.
Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information should contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
Meanwhile, residents have been advised to check that doors are secured and to be extra vigilant.
