The busy A38 through Rooksbridge came to a standstill on Monday afternoon (June 29th) after a crash.

Fire, ambulance and police from Burnham-On-Sea were called to the A38 Bristol Road in Rooksbridge at 1.30pm.

Crews found two vehicles had collided, but no occupants had been trapped. Both vehicles were made safe by the fire crews using environmental kits while police diverted traffic around the scene.

Meanwhile, Burnham firefighters were later called to rescue a lamb stuck in a ditch next to the Frank Foley Parkway at 11.20am on Monday. Crews used a triple extension ladder, dry suits and lines to release the animal.
