Staff and customers at Sanders Garden Centre in Brent Knoll have raised an impressive £795.60 for In Charley’s Memory, the Burnham-On-Sea-based charity that provides vital mental health support to young people.
The funds were collected through donation tins placed at tills, along with staff contributions, in an ongoing show of solidarity for a charity that holds deep meaning for the Sanders team.
“We’ve supported In Charley’s Memory since the very beginning,” said Garden Centre Manager Rob Vohra. “One of the final photos of Charley was taken right here—outside our Christmas winter wonderland entrance display. That’s always stayed with us.”
The charity works to combat the growing mental health crisis among young people, offering accessible counselling and support services in Burnham-On-Sea and surrounding areas.
“One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health issue each year—many of them young adults,” Rob added. “The services the charity offers can be a lifeline, and we’re proud to play a part.”
Sanders Garden Centre has pledged to continue supporting In Charley’s Memory through future fundraising and awareness efforts.
