Dozens of famous faces – from Michael Eavis to Jamie Oliver and The Queen – appeared in Brent Knoll at the weekend when scores of colourful scarecrows went on display.

The annual festival saw more than 40 scarecrows displayed alongside roads, gardens and paths in the village, attracting a steady flow of visitors.

The festival – which raised funds for Girlguiding Brent Knoll – began on Saturday and continued on Sunday, and was hailed a success by organisers.

“This is always a very creative event which involves residents and visitors alike, with 40 scarecrows to locate – and once again the village warmly supported it with some characters on show!” said a spokeswoman.
