Wildlife rescue charity Secret World seeking new volunteers

-

Wildlife rescue charity Secret World has issued an appeal for more volunteers this week.

The charity, based in East Huntspill, is keen to find more helpers of all ages and abilities.

It comes as the organisation enters its busiest time of the year, with over 342 animal admissions in April alone.

Volunteer Greg Kelloway, pictured, is one of many who help across several areas, from fundraising to animal rescue, maintenance and even ferret racing during open weekends!

The charity is currently seeking locals who enjoy meeting people and are keen to join Secret World’s fundraising team to help with offsite collections.

The charity’s fundraiser, Debbie O’Keefe, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are seeking friendly, outgoing people who enjoy talking about the work that we do here at Secret World.”

“No sales background is necessary – just the ability to talk to people. We have helped so many people gain confidence by getting back into the workplace, which has given them the start they need to get back into paid work.”

For more information on how to get involved, contact debbie@secretworld.org or cal 01278 783250.
