Staff at Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden World have helped raise more than £1,830 for charity by selling tickets to a ‘Get Gardening Raffle’.
The centre in Brent Knoll sold the tickets throughout May, June and July in aid of Greenfingers, which creates gardens at children’s hospices.
Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, explained: “Greenfingers is the garden centre’s national ‘Charity of the Year’ and we are delighted we have raised £1,838 by selling raffle tickets.”
“We hosted the raffle alongside our sister garden centres in The Garden Centre Group. All 119 garden centres took part and three winners were chosen from the tickets sold nationwide.”
Greenfingers is dedicated to creating gardens at children’s hospices across the UK according to each hospice’s individual requirements.
