New scheme aims to improve Burnham-On-Sea shop window displays

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s town centre shops are being invited to sign up to a new scheme to improve the appearance of shop window displays.

Up to 20 businesses can benefit from a three-hour consultation with a merchandising and display expert as part of a project being run by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council.

Aimed at helping improve the look, feel and shopability of businesses, the free service is being funded by cash from Tesco to offset the expansion of its Burnham store.

“There has been persistent feedback from members of the public that the overall standard of window dressing and merchandising in the town centre could be improved,” said Town Centre manager Bev Milner Simonds.

“The consultation with a merchandising specialist aims to improve the presentation and shopability of a wide range of businesses, focused on retailers.”
