Small Business Saturday is being marked in Burnham-On-Sea today with shoppers being urged to give local firms a try.
Across the country, the nationwide scheme aims to encourage people to use small shops and traders in their area – and Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade & Commerce is leading the initiative in our town.
Burnham Chamber of Trade has published a promotional leaflet featuring discounts, special offers and new product launches, many of which are available only today on Small Business Saturday.
Around 500 paper copies were handed out at Burnham’s Christmas Lights switch on as well as the digital version, which was available on Black Friday exclusively on burnham-on-sea.com. The final chance to download your copy is here.
A spokesman for the Chamber of Trade said: “If we all, whenever practical, use local businesses, then across the board everyone will benefit by keeping money in our local economy and creating jobs.”
