Staff, residents and supporters of a specialist care centre in Brent Knoll celebrated its 40th anniversary at the weekend with a day of fun.
Somerset Court was the first specialist centre for people with autism in the UK and remains among the best centres in the country.
The facilities held a fun day with a Wizard of Oz theme at the weekend which was attended by hundreds of supporters and visitors.
“We had a fantastic day with a great turnout. We celebrated our 40th anniversary in style and also raised funds towards a new £20,000 trim trail that we hope to launch over the coming year,” organiser Karen Hart told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
