-

A capacity audience crowded into Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre for a special visit by a top TV motorcycle racing commentator and former champion on Friday night (February 5th).

Steve Parrish has had a long career in motorcycling and was 500cc British Champion. He was also the team mate of motorcycling legend Barry Sheene and co-wrote a book about the motorcycling legend.

Steve is a well-known face of the BBC’s coverage of Motor GP and Sky’s World Superbike and the British Superbike Series shows. Currently, he commentates for British Eurosport on World Superbike and also ITV4 for TT & Classic TT.

Craig Denny, from the The Princess Theatre, who is pictured with Steve at Friday’s event, said the event had been a great success.

“It was a sell-out and we could have filled the theatre two or three times over given the interest,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “It was a fantastic evening.”

Steve’s ‘Mad Tour’ event was hosted by his daughter Frankie, who extracted the emotion and feeling from him about his life and experiences over the years.
