Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre will be welcoming a top TV motorcycle racing commentator and former champion for a special event this weekend.

Steve Parrish has had a long career in motorcycling and was 500cc British Champion.

He was also the team mate of motorcycling legend Barry Sheene and co-wrote a book about the bike legend.

‘An Evening with Steve Parrish’ will be held at Burnham’s Princess Theatre in Princess Street this Saturday (21st October) at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost standard £20, and concessions £18.50. The box office is open on 01278 784464 to reserve seats.

After retiring from motorcycle racing he embarked on a successful truck racing career and was three-time winner of the British Open Truck Championship and four time winner of the European title. He has been in team management and led his team to three British Superbike Championship titles.

In the following years he was a commentator for the BBC’s coverage of Motor GP, and also presented on BBC radio and Sky TV’s coverage of World Superbike and the British Superbike Series.

Currently he commentates for British Eurosport on World Superbike and also ITV4 for TT & Classic TT.

His ‘Mad Tour’ is hosted by his daughter Frankie, who extracts the emotion and feeling from Steve (Stavros) Parrish about his life, loves and experiences, giving the audience a chance to appreciate how times have changed.
