A former Somerset resident who worked on Hillary Clinton’s American Presidential campaign in 2016 has become a teacher at King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge.

Jess Crow was a student at Priory Community School Academy in Weston before she got a dream placement in the last Presidential election working with Hillary Clinton.

Having returned home to Somerset, she has just started in a new role as an English Teacher at King Alfred School Academy.

Jess is now helping to run the school’s Jill Dando News Centre, which helps students to find and write good news stories.

She said: “It’s great to be a teacher at a fantastic school like King Alfred’s. I’m privileged to work at the fastest-improving school in Somerset, and a school that truly puts their students first.”

During her time in America, Jess worked with the 45 for the 45th organisation, which took 45 young people to the United States to work on a presidential campaign of their choice.
