Decorate ‘sweetheart tree’ to help Burnham-On-Sea charity In Charley’s Memory

-

A Highbridge hairdressing training academy has launched a unique Valentines-themes fundraising initiative to support a Burnham-On-Sea charity.

L&F in Church Street is inviting local residents to hang a photo of themselves or their partner on a special ‘sweetheart tree’ in support of Burnham charity ‘In Charley’s Memory’.

“We would like to invite anyone and everyone to come into the salon between now and Valentines day and hang a photo of themselves and their sweetheart on our tree at £1 per hook with all proceeds going to ‘In Charley’s Memory’,” L&F’s Fran Deeley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Visitors can also a write Valentines catchphrase with a name and contact details on the back for a chance to win a set of GHD ‘Pencil’ hair straighteners.”

The winner will be announced on Friday 15th February 2019.

In Charley’s Memory was set up after young Charley Marks, pictured below, took his own life aged 18 in 2014 – five years ago this coming September.

The charity now supports and helps hundreds of young people plus those affected by mental health.
