To mark the anniversary of VJ Day, Burnham-On-Sea Royal British Legion Branch is organising a coach trip to the National Arboretum in Staffordshire.
The National Memorial Arboretum will be reflecting upon and remembering the significant events that brought about the end of the Second World War and marking the anniversaries of both VE and VJ Day.
A series of exhibitions, events, services, talks and tours will open a window in time to 1945, sharing the stories of those who lived and served 80 years ago.
It will take place on August 19th with a pick up at Pier Street at 8.45am and then returning at around 7pm. The cost will be £30.
Contact Ruth or John Crosby to secure your place on 01278 238723. Â This is open to members and non members across the area.
