One of the longest established garages in the Burnham-On-Sea area is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Triangle Garage in Berrow began trading in 1985 and has gained a local reputation as one of the area’s leading garages.

Paul Mellows, pictured, says that while the garage has modernised over the years, its staff still give the same friendly welcome and first-class customer service as when it opened.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We pride ourselves on offering ‘reliable, old-fashioned’ customer service but with modern standards and up-to-date equipment.”

“We will always try and help customers, and will turn our hand at almost any problems. I’m passionate about quality and we’re always striving wherever possible to do our best for customers.”

“Over the years we have built up a great reputation for our service and are now serving our third generation of customers and their families.”

His dedication to service is matched by his in-depth knowledge of all things mechanical. “I love cars and have always been fascinated by machines since being a kid – I can remember playing with anything mechanical,” he recalls.

It’s for that reason that he was keen to take over Triangle Garage three decades ago. “I looked at several garages to buy and felt this one had the most potential. It was a great location and had lots going for it. I took it over on August 4th, 1985 and then opened it in September 1985 after completing several internal changes.”

“We provided body repairs and services initially, then started car sales in 1987. We stopped selling fuel in the early 90s to concentrate more on general repairs and sales. And after an expansion last year, we are now able to offer a much wider selection of cars for sale than ever before.”

The garage also provides new tyres, MOTs, servicing and red diesel. The garage has a dedicated team of staff who carry out all the repairs, servicing and MOTs for all cars and light commercial vehicles.

Triangle Garage is a member of the Good Garage Scheme, which means they perform services to a strict Code of Conduct and always have the motorist’s best interest at heart.

Paul added: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their business over the past 30 years and look forward to the next 30 years.”

A garage has been based at the current site as far back as 1936 when it was traded as Welland’s Garage, pictured here.
