Internet promotion event to be held in Burnham-On-Sea this Friday

-

A special event aimed at encouraging more people to use the Internet is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea this Friday.

The Burnham Area Youth Centre in Cassis Close will be throwing open its doors to the public on Friday 27th February between 10.30am and 3.30pm to offer advice and tips on how to the use the Internet to mark UKonline week.

Volunteers from the BAY Centre’s technology clinic team will introduce newcomers to the Internet. The usual £2 charge will be waived for the day, and the centre will be open with refreshments served.

To mark UKonline week, centres all across the UK are inviting the general public to ‘start something’ new online. “Whether it is for general health enquiries, income tax, or even just taxing your motor vehicle, using the Internet makes this easy,” said a spokesman.
