Burnham-On-Sea vets in training for gruelling charity challenge!

-

Staff at a Burnham-On-Sea vet surgery are in training for a gruelling challenge in aid of two good causes.

The team at Blake Veterinary Group have entered into the ‘Go Commando’ 10km challenge on 6th October in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance and The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund supporting injured marines.

This 10km challenge is held annually at the Royal Marines’ training facility at Bicton Arena, Yettington.

“The cross country run and obstacle course is over Woodbury Common and will be a mud bath of swamp-like proportions,” the group’s Caz Haywood told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“In preparation for these challenging conditions the Blake’s team, who are known as ‘Blake’s Bog Snorkellers’, have donned snorkel, mask and fins in an attempt to maintain forward propulsion through the sludge!”
