Brean ladies night raises £3,500 for Somerset breast cancer charity

-

A total of £3,500 was raised when dozens of people attended a ladies night in Brean on Friday evening (October 14th) in aid of a breast cancer support charity.

Breast Cancer Now – formerly known as Somerset Breakthrough Breast Cancer – held its annual ladies night at Dickies Bar in Brean. The adults-only evening included male performers, a drag act, charity raffle and disco.

Organiser Holly Macbeth said: “On behalf of the Somerset Breast Cancer Now group I want to say a huge thank you to all who came, supported and donated to our ladies night.”

“The event was the best year yet and I’m overwhelmed with the support and generosity shown. We managed to smash last year’s ladies night by raising a staggering £3,500!”

She also thanked the follow organisers – Ali , Chunkie and the team at Brean Leisure Park – plus those who gave raffle donations.

“To anyone who has helped and supported the event we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and please put the date in your diary for Friday 13th October 2017!”
