Burnham and Highbridge Mayor releases annual Christmas message

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Mayor Eric Gill, pictured, released his annual Christmas Message on Friday December 15th…

“I am inordinately proud and privileged to have been selected Mayor for a second year and my wife and I are delighted to be able to wish all the people of Burnham and Highbridge a very Merry Christmas.”

“We looked forward rather than backward this time last year and there will be no difference now. 2007 promises to be fairly momentous – the whole future of local government is under scrutiny and there may well be huge changes.”

“However, elections for Burnham and Highbridge Town Council will definitely be held in May and anyone wishing to be considered should register their interest as soon as possible, any existing Councillor will be pleased to advise you.”

“I continue to be amazed at the amount of energy, effort and time spent by those volunteers who care for others in so many walks of life – the number of clubs, societies and organisations is astonishing and I take this opportunity to thank them all.”
