Members of Burnham’s Holistic Tae Kwon-Do donate 28kg of supplies to foodbank

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Holistic Tae Kwon-Do has held its annual festive gathering and donated supplies to the town’s Foodbank.

Over 70 of their members have given 28kg of food during the event at St Andrew’s Church Hall.

Jane Lambert-Majewicz, their lead instructor, thanked all those attending for their generosity after a bumper donation for Burnham-On-Sea Foodbank.

“Our gatherings are so abundantly catered for that there’s always an excess of food. In the true spirit of giving, the decision was made to channel this surplus towards a meaningful cause, so we asked our members for additional donations,” she says.

“We took a collective step towards positively impacting the local community by delivering approximately 28kg of food to the local food bank.”

“This act of kindness reflects the core values of Holistic Tae Kwon-Do, emphasising not only physical well-being but also the importance of compassion and support for those in need.”

“We are delighted to have contributed to such a worthy cause, extending our appreciation to all members who participated in the gathering and contributed.”

Anyone interested in joining the Tae Kwon-Do community in Burnham-On-Sea can have a free trial session available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at King Alfred School in the New Year.

Individuals or family members can explore the world of Tae Kwon-Do in a supportive and welcoming environment. The Tae Kwon-Do group has been active in Burnham-On-Sea since 1972.
